Spec the follow-up cadence for missing client documents
Lesson 3 of 5 · Workflows & automation
1 · Learn the move · Specific task + easy yes
The follow-up is the task you forget until it costs a deadline. Spec it as a cadence: the trigger, the interval, the tone that escalates, the stop. Every message carries the same rules as a letter: no date the order did not state, no prediction, and the client is a letter in the tracker. The spec is written once and runs for every matter.
Spec a follow-up cadence for outstanding client documents. TRIGGER: an item on the request list past its ask date. INTERVALS: day 3, day 7, day 12. TONE: plain, then plain with the consequence stated as the order states it, then a call. STOP: received, or the attorney pauses it. RULES: never compute a deadline, never predict, every message through the approval gate. Output the spec as a table.
2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
The hearing is six weeks out and Client A still owes you the customer list they said was lost. Spec the cadence so this runs for all eleven matters without you remembering.
Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
