Let Claude read your inbox and calendar

Lesson 3 of 3 · Claude & Cowork mastery

1 · Learn the move · Context + audience

A connector lets the model read the thread, the calendar and the document list instead of you pasting them. The value is the draft you fix in two minutes; the danger is the send. Connect read; never connect send without the gate. And the thread it reads is information relating to the representation, so the plan the connector runs on is the firm's approved one, or there is no connector.

Read the thread with Client A (connected inbox), my calendar for the next ten days, and the document-request list in the matter folder. Draft a reply that answers what the client asked, names what we are still waiting on, and offers two meeting times from the calendar. Do not send. Predict nothing. Any date you state names where it came from.

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

Client A has emailed three times about the hearing and you have not had ten minutes to reply. The thread, your calendar and the document-request list are all in connected tools. Get a draft you can fix in two minutes - without sending anything.

Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
