Force the answer into a decision matrix

Lesson 6 of 7 · Compliance & safe AI use

1 · Learn the move · Comparison matrix

'Should we move or wait' is not a question the model can answer, and a paragraph that pretends to is the worst output available. A matrix forces the honest shape: the options across the top, the factors down the side, what the record says in each cell and [CHECK THE RECORD] where it says nothing. The partner reads the cells; the model never fills the verdict row.

Build a decision matrix. OPTIONS: [the two or three courses]. FACTORS: [the ones that matter]. In each cell write only what the pasted documents support, with the filename; where they are silent, write [CHECK THE RECORD: what to pull]. No row for 'recommendation'. Any authority a cell relies on is [VERIFY].

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

Client A is asking whether to move to dismiss or answer and counterclaim, and wants 'the answer' by Friday. Three factors matter and one of them turns on a fact the client has not given you. Build the matrix that shows the partner what the choice turns on.

Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
