Your skill kit
Six skills that run the whole flow on your own work: interview, brief, small jobs, one job at a time, a check in a new chat, and a look back. Each is plain text. Save it as a saved prompt, a project instruction or a skill file in whatever assistant you use, and keep it.
1 of 6 · Interview
Interview me first
Before a bigger piece of work or a decision, it asks you the questions you would skip.
Example. I say I want a status letter for a client on a matter. Round one asks what the client already knows, which dates I will state, and what I will not say in writing. Its recommended answer to the last: no view on the outcome.
Where to save it
- Claude. Upload the skill folder as a skill, or paste the text into a Project's instructions. In Claude Code, put the folder in your skills folder.
- ChatGPT. Paste the text into a Project's instructions or a custom GPT's instructions, or into your custom instructions.
- Gemini. Paste the text into a Gem's instructions.
- Copilot. Paste the text into a Notebook's instructions, or keep it in a file you attach when you need it.
- Any other assistant. Keep the file. Paste it at the start of a chat, then say which job you are on.
Then run it on one real piece of work and change the wording until it sounds like you.
Licence and credit
This skill is adapted from the grilling skill in an open source set, the skills library. The wording and examples are rewritten for your work. The original licence travels with it. Every download carries NOTICE.md, and the copied text ends with a credit line.

2 of 6 · Brief
Write the one page brief
Turns what you agreed into one page you can hand to any chat as standing context.
Example. Brief for the client status letter. Problem: clients ask where the matter stands. Result: one page each month with next steps and dates. Out of scope: any view on the outcome. Names are placeholders.

3 of 6 · Jobs
Cut it into small jobs
Cuts the brief into jobs that each work alone, and marks which ones need your OK.
Example. 1 List the dates in the matter notes (check: matches my calendar). 2 Draft the status paragraphs. 3 I read the letter myself, which needs my OK, before it goes to the client.

4 of 6 · Do
Do one job and check it
Does one job from the list, checks it, and stops at anything that needs your OK.
Example. I paste job 2, draft the status paragraphs. It drafts them, checks every date against my calendar, and marks one sentence VERIFY because the notes do not say.

5 of 6 · Check
Check the work two ways
In a new chat, checks the work against your brief and against your own rules, one list each.
Example. Pass one finds a next step the brief asked for that is missing. Pass two finds an authority I did not give it, marked VERIFY, and a sentence that predicts the outcome.

6 of 6 · Look back
Look back and fix the setup
After a piece of work or a week, it suggests changes to your setup so the next run goes better.
Example. It notices it offered authorities nobody gave it, and suggests a rule that none counts until I have opened it. It suggests keeping the matter dates in one file with a pointer in my map.
