Turn corrections into a skill

Build-along · ~15 min at your own keyboard

A skill is a text file with a name, a line on when to use it, and plain steps. Your corrections are those steps already. Ask the model to interview you and write the file from your list, or use the skill draft button on the corrections page. Then read the file line by line. Models add rules you never said, and they turn one example into a law for every case. Strike those lines. The file is your process now, so it must say only what you meant. The earlier lesson on turning a procedure into a skill covers the file format.

Your starter: Skill file shell

Instructions

Make it yours: Fill in the name and the when to use line, then paste only your own G lines. Strike anything you did not say.

---
name: [short-name-with-hyphens]
description: Use when [the job, in one sentence].
---

# [Job title]

Rules, from my own corrections only:
- [G line from my list]
- [G line from my list]
- [G line from my list]

Lines I struck because I never said them:
- [quoted line] because [reason]

The coach checks that what you paste back is your own work. The starter pasted back unchanged won't pass.

Paste the final skill file, then the lines you struck with a reason for each, and how the fresh chat test went.
