Sheet-connected pipelines
Build-along · ~12 min at your own keyboard
The pipeline pattern: a workflow gathers or computes, and its last step writes rows into a sheet (via API or file). The sheet stays the interface your business already knows; the filling becomes invisible. Perfect for a lead tracker that fills itself.
Your starter: Production-index review pipeline
Workflow stepsMake it yours: Name your production index format and its columns, set the markers that count as a privilege candidate in your matters, and decide the one reason a line gets flagged for a person on sight.
PRODUCTION INDEX: [matter code], export at [path], volume [n] 1. Read the index. Keep the columns: control number, date, document type, author role, recipient role. 2. Confirm the parties stay lettered: any name in a subject line is replaced before step 3. 3. Flag a line when: the author or recipient role is counsel, the subject carries a privilege marker, the date is missing, or the control number repeats. 4. Write the flags to the [matter code]-review tab, one line each, with the one question a reviewer answers on sight. Never describe a document the index did not describe. Never decide privilege; flag it. If a flagged line names an authority, it is not a citation until you have opened it.
The coach checks that what you paste back is your own work. The starter pasted back unchanged won't pass.
